"No one of us is less treasured or cherished of God than another. I testify that He loves each of us—insecurities, anxieties, self-image, and all."
-Jeffrey R Holland
"I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me,
Confused at the grace that so fully he proffers me.
I tremble to know that for me he was crucified,
That for me, a sinner, he suffered, he bled and died.
Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me
Enough to die for me!
Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me!
I marvel that he would descend from his throne divine
To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine,
That he should extend his great love unto such as I,
Sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify.
I think of his hands pierced and bleeding to pay the debt!
Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget?
No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat,
Until at the glorified throne I kneel at his feet."
"One observer has written: “In a world that
constantly compares people, ranking them as more or less intelligent, more or
less attractive, more or less successful, it is not easy to really believe in a
[divine] love that does not do the same. When I hear someone praised,” he says,
“it is hard not to think of myself as less praiseworthy; when I read about the
goodness and kindness of other people, it is hard not to wonder whether I
myself am as good and kind as they; and when I see trophies, rewards, and
prizes being handed out to special people, I cannot avoid asking myself why
that didn’t happen to me.” If left un resisted, we can see how this
inclination so embellished by the world will ultimately bring a resentful,
demeaning view of God and a terribly destructive view of ourselves. Most “thou
shalt not” commandments are meant to keep us from hurting others, but I am
convinced the commandment not to covet is meant to keep us from hurting
ourselves."
"10 Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight
of God;
11 For, behold, the
Lord your Redeemer suffered death in the flesh; wherefore he suffered the pain
of all men, that all men might repent and come unto him."
Doctrine and covenants 18
"7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye
shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my
Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father
hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my
commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s
commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things
have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy
might be full.
12 This is my
commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love
hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my
friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you."
John 15
He is our savior our friend. No soul is more important than another in
our Father in Heavens plan, we all are very important pieces to His beautiful
puzzle.
As stated in verse 14 of John 15, we are His friends if we
do whatsoever he has commanded. As we keep His commandments He is bound to be
our friend, we are promised to receive the comforter, that the Holy Ghost will be with
us as we live righteously and keep his commandments after we have entered into
the waters of baptism and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost through Christ’s
restored priesthood power.
"10 I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but
when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise"
Doctrine and Covenants 82:10
No talent is greater than another, it takes all kinds to beautify the earth, we need the inventors, the creators, the mathematician, the swimmer, the dancer, the artist, the mechanic, the teacher, the student, the scientist, or Doctor... it takes all kinds to complete Heavenly Fathers puzzle, to beautify the earth.
we have all been given our spiritual gifts which shine from the inside out. There are people in need of us, our talents, and our gifts.
We have all been created in the image of our God, we are beautiful to him. Have you received Christ in your countenance?
It is so important that as we look upon ourselves each day we do our best to see ourselves as Christ would. It is important to not be negative, or beat ourselves down. Some talents we may not have naturally but through practice, and diligence we can obtain those talents we desire.
As we live in a way that is pleasing to our Father in Heaven we will have the light of Christ within us, we can become examples to others, to lift one another up and to be a grand example of our brother Jesus Christ, we are his hands here on earth, to bring souls back to Christ.
I know the He loves us all. That we ALL were rescued by His infinite Atonement. He gave His life, He over came the world so that we wouldn't have to. Come back to Him, return to the peace that is provided by our Savior. He is always inviting "Come follow me" It is never to late to follow our Savior and take part in Gods perfect plan. His arms are opened and ready to receive you. His is there, full of love, grace, and mercy.
"will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be
converted, that I may heal you?
14 Yea, verily I
say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine
arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I
receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.
15 Behold, I am
Jesus Christ the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all
things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning. I am in the
Father, and the Father in me; and in me hath the Father glorified his name.
16 I came unto my
own, and my own received me not. And the scriptures concerning my coming are
fulfilled.
17 And as many as
have received me, to them have I given to become the sons of God; and even so
will I to as many as shall believe on my name, for behold, by me redemption
cometh, and in me is the law of Moses fulfilled.
18 I am the light
and the life of the world. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end."
3 Nephi 9:14
