For with God nothing shall be impossible.
(Luke 1:37)
"And again I say unto you, ye must repent, and become
as a little child, and be baptized in my name, or ye can in nowise receive
these things.
And again I say unto you, ye must repent, and be baptized
in my name, and become as a little child, or ye can in nowise inherit the
kingdom of God."
3 Nephi 11(Book of Mormon)
"2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set
him in the midst of them,3 And said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
Matthew 18(The Holy Bible)
As we become child like our trust in God enables us to become all that He sees in us. To our Father in heaven we are everything, He knows our great potential and wants us to reach that. Heavenly Father has great hopes and expectations for each and every one of us. As we trust in the Lord we can become those things.
When I think back not too long ago to my days of being a little kid I remember the world was perfect, summers consisted of swimming, playing outside, hikes with my mom, walks through the park, boat rides and camping trips. everything was wonderful and fascinating, I had many questions the typical "WHY" and what does this do, what is that for, how does this work questions that I am sure at times drove my parents NUTS.
I am reminded of when I was maybe 5 or 6 my mom had a job catering weddings so that was ashee daddy bonding time. My daddy LOVES to take things apart make a mess of the garage and very slowly put them back together. I was his little mechanics assistant for some time as He was restoring an old volkswagon I would sit and hand Him tools with one hand while holding my favorite Barbie doll or beanie baby in the other. Always asking the who what’s and whys for everything. I wanted to know every detail of every part every screw driver ever bolt why it was put there and what role it played in making the car work. It was so fascinating to me how it all worked.
It always amazed me that my dad knew where every piece belonged to his beloved projects. What amazed me even more is that my daddy always has such great patience with me. I am sure my questions didn't help with His focus or the timing; however he always did His best to explain simply what he was doing. The best part of working on these projects with Him I usually got first ride once it was running! It was a great time for me to bond and really get to know my dad. To see how much He loves me and wants me to be the best I can. It helped me to understand my Heavenly Father much more, if my earthly Father understood me and had that much patience, think about Heavenly Father being a perfect man the love and patience he must have...
"But the very hairs of your head are all numbered
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than
many sparrows."
(Matthew 10)
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they
follow me"
(John 10)Do you know your Heavenly Fathers voice? When you hear it do you chose to follow or do you wander a stray?
"What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
(Luke 15)
Christ knows when we have wandered and is ALWAYS calling and intviting us to follow him.
16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick:"
(Ezekiel 34)
For with God nothing is impossible we can become anything(except maybe a helicopter...) we can achieve our highest goals, and we can truly come to know Jesus Christ
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Philippians 4
